Had a great stay! Lisa was super welcoming and the breakfast was top-notch, but the shower pressure was a bit poor. Will be back for sure!

my experience at this charming hotel was fantastic, with a warm and welcoming host who truly made my stay enjoyable, and the location couldn't be better, being just a few steps from the promenade and close to numerous attractions like the Southport Marine Lake and Hesketh Park, which made my weekend strolls delightful.

I almost considered giving Penkelie a good review, but then the shower, which was either frigid or a dribble, ruined it all. the walls are so thin, I could hear every snore from neighbors! To top it off, no upgrade was offered for my inconvenience. What a missed chance for a luxurious experience!

The shower performance was inconsistent!!! It lacked sufficient pressure and hot water on occasion!!! noise from other guests impacted the otherwise peaceful ambiance!!! Something needs to be done about these thin walls!!!

It was just a strong match for exploring town in Southport with a great value-to-price ratio. The full English breakfast really filled me up for a day of sightseeing. Make sure to try the cookies in the room!

The homemade breakfast was a fabulous start to each day, especially the creamy yogurts that sent taste buds soaring! Our chill spot was mere steps from restaurants like The Windmill for a cheeky pint and Pizzeria Positano for some top-notch slices. Plus, Lisa's thoughtful touches really made us feel at home.

It was all about exploring Southport instead of lounging about, anyway.

had a great time at penkelie, the room was realy comfy and clean. loved the warm welcome from lisa, and the super yummy breakfast with fresh fruit was a nice touch! mini fridge was cool too and the shower was really nice. close to all the shops and the beach, so it's perfect for exploring!

only bummer was the parking can get tricky on busy days, and the shower pressure was a bit off sometimes.
